My wife has said she has made the decision to stay in the marriage. She doesn’t want to leave the home. She wants to work on the marriage with me. She has become affectionate with me and when we are together, seems to do all the right things. She has also agreed to start Married for Life after we finish EMS Online. However, she still will not stop communicating with or seeing the affair partner. She says she knows it will hurt both him and herself and she doesn’t want to walk through that pain. He is aware of her decision but still holds out hope that she will choose him. She assures me that she will leave him but can’t say when. She admits that she wants it all but is aware that it is a fantasy that can’t happen. Outside of issuing an ultimatum to stop the affair, I am not sure if there is anything else I should do. She is going to start speaking with an infidelity specialist next week. Is there anything else I should be doing at this point? I’m tired of the back and forth.
