Question:

Its been about 1 year since the first D-Day when my wife broke things off with her affair partner. He became threatening, which forced her to disclose the affair to me before he did. Four months ago she relapsed right before taking EMS Online. We are doing great now, but the affair partner has continued to try to contact my wife and it is causing lots of disruption as its unwanted but triggering for both of us. She has blocked him on all devices and apps, but he has sent messages and packages to my wife's family and writing letters. I am struggling because I fantasize about confronting this guy but I think that will send the wrong message that my wife still has feelings and that I'm worried. She is considering writing him an email telling him to stop contacting her, etc. She has written him something similar before but maybe another more emotional message my send the message that he is not welcome. He seems to be a bit unstable so we are a little worried he would retaliate. We are also wondering if there are steps legally we can take to protect ourselves. I feel very vulnerable in this situation because I want this guy to get the message that he is not welcome. Do you have any advice?
