I’m having a really hard time understanding what direction to go. I get that I cannot make my husband do anything and his recovery is up to him as mine is up to me. We are in week 5 of EMS Online. While he is willing doing the program, he is still placing the blame for the affair 100% on me the betrayed. I understand this is between him and God, and I am trying to do my work everyday, but it is becoming harder and harder to face him and be around him. As we unload the program he tells me how the affair partner was everything I was not. He continues contact with the affair partner and does Bible devotions with her while refusing to pray with me in the mornings. The affair partner quotes Philippines 4:13, I have never heard the Bible used to support an affair. He says if he didn’t want to be here he wouldn’t, but how is that consolation? I am trying not to make major decisions until the program is over. How much pain can one take before they break? The daily functioning is getting harder and harder.
