Question:

My husband has recently told me that he no longer feels he can put in the effort of what it will take to recover. He says when he looks at me he only sees pain and sadness and has no hope that things will ever get better. We are 6 months past D-Day and about 3 weeks past the final contract with the AP. I feel that now we finally got to the point where we can talk about things more openly, but he still is holding on to the past and I feel he has a lot of resentment towards me as the betrayed. He doesn't what to reengage the relationship as to not give me false hope. He is moving out of state for a new job and we have decided that he will go on his own and we will try a trial separation. Is it possible to work on our recovery or re-connection when we are separated?
