Question:

I am the unfaithful in this situation. My wife has suffered from pretty severe anxiety and depression for all of our 25 years of marriage. We are nearly 3 years post discovery and have done a fair amount of counseling. I spent the first six months or so in such shame and remorse and pain for my actions. She is still emotionally spinning out and asking “how could you” followed by a long list of offenses and insults and character attacks. She won’t listen to me when I try and talk. She sees that I’m no longer on the floor in tears with remorse and I wonder if she’s just trying to punish me still, more, again. I don’t know what to do. But we are coming to EMS Weekend soon. If we make it that long.
