Question:

My husband had a year long emotional affair and we are 3 months from D-Day. He has told me during the time he was not thinking, feels he had no emotional connection, not sure why he even had the affair, and never wanted out of the marriage. I started to suspect and one of the red flags was that he was prematurely ejaculating when we had sex and I read it can be from guilt. Now that the affair is over and we are working on recovery I would have thought the premature ejaculating would stop. Should I be worried that he may still be in contact with the AP and feeling guilty causing this? Or is it normal after disclosure? He has showed remorse and has told me he doesn’t have any feelings for the AP and feels that a light switch turned on once I found out and wanted no part of the affair. Can this be true or am I just worried that he is lying? I want to believe him but I feel the premature ejaculation is a trigger and I start to think negative, doubting thoughts even though his actions speak otherwise.
