After talking with a lawyer, it is impossible to dissolve the business relationship without her consent (she won't) so they are legally tied to each other indefinitely. He voluntarily broke off the affair after a year and she then confessed the relationship to me 8 months later via email which he confirmed was true. It is now 5 months post D-Day; my husband has done what he can to limit contact with her to only business communication and he tells me about all their interactions. Our problem is she uses their work relationship to try to manipulate him and push boundaries. For example, she will attend events where she isn’t needed to make a presence, fired me as a consultant as part of her managerial duty, make bad employee scheduling decisions so they have to work together, etc. These are all things she is legally able to do and asking her to not do them or not responding to them might be a breach of contract on my husband’s part. She claims she is over the affair and uninterested in our marriage but her passive-aggressive behavior screams otherwise. This doesn’t even cover the things she does in her personal life! What do we do about her when she won't let go nor will she listen to reason and continues to use the business as leverage?Sections: Rick's Q & A timeRick's QuestionsRL_Category: Breaking Off The AffairQ&A Recovery LibrarySafety in RecoveryRL_Media Type: Video
