I've decided to move out on my own. At first the idea was horrifying. I'm 47 and I've never lived alone. But I've had to go through many obstacles with my husband over the past year and now I find myself at the place of not knowing how to tell him that I'm leaving. 1. I'm loyal. This man has broken me in so many ways and yet I still want to make sure he will be ok once I leave. 2. He has a side to him that makes me fearful. I don't know if I will be safe or if he will be. My question is, how do I tell him that I'm leaving? It's not as simple as sitting him down and telling him. What words do I say to him? It's not about the marriage. It's about me. I can't heal where I am with him. I need this for myself. But to get him to understand this is very difficult.
