Question:

Today is 8 months from the first D-Day and 2 months from full disclosure, although new information surfaced a couple times in the last 2 months. I know my husband has layers of shame. He is just beginning individual counseling, and, in my opinion, we are fortunate that our Christian marriage counselor is also a sexual addictions expert. I am struggling with re-engaging in a somewhat normal life and being comfortable around family and friends, still. What suggestions do you have?

Thank you

This was very helpful. I made a mistake in thinking someone was safe when they weren’t, and now my husband (who has already moved in with his AP while we are still married) is telling me I don’t get to talk to anyone at all about what has happened. I think I need to be very careful and keep that inner circle small.
