Question:

My husband is in full affair fog and has become a completely different man since D-day (5 weeks ago) compared to the man I have been married to the last 12 years. He has totally different values and behaviors! Previously a man of high integrity, courage and generosity has become selfish, cowardice and is compromising all his prior ideals. It is so frightening to witness a complete personality change in your best friend and beloved! After one month in solitude, he has decided he wants a divorce. However he has also told me he has broken off communication with his affair partner because he needs a sound mind. Seems he has some minor insight that his head is crazy right now? Is there any merit to talking to him at all right now about affair stuff? Or do I totally leave him alone? Does anything anyone says ever help? He is going to a counselor but I think he is just talking from his distorted thinking there too. I send him Affair Recovery videos and he doesn't think they apply to him. He refuses to participate in Affair Recovery programs. I am working on myself and enrolled in Harboring Hope but is there anything else I should be doing?
