In your experience can a marriage survive and actually thrive if the unfaithful never truly sees the affair differently. They continue to view the affair partner as a true love and even though they choose to stay in the marriage, will always be wondering “what if”? It seems time that it would be difficult for the marriage to really thrive and for the betrayed to ever really feel safe with this continued mindset. I realize it takes a lot of time when there was such a big emotional attachment but after Hope for Healing and EMSO they still don’t “come out of the fog” is there really hope for true recovery and success long term?
