One of my main struggles is the thought that my husband could do this to me again. He has had several instances of infidelity in the past. We’re in week 6 of EMSO. He seems to be doing the work & I don’t worry too much of a relapse or relapse behavior in the near future because he says the pain he has caused me makes him never want to do this again. What I worry about is a few years from now when this pain is a distant memory. He never showed any signs in the past of having an affair so I don’t know that I would even know if he was! He was the same loving husband he always was during his infidelity. I’m doing my work to heal but I’m scared to do all this work with him and stay in a marriage just to be hurt again several years down the road when the pain isn’t fresh, then regret that I wasted more years of my life in a marriage I should have left. I’m SO VERY afraid. What do I do?
