Question:

Hi Rick,

I would like to know how to discuss my intrusive thoughts with my spouse. We talk so much now and he knows when I am dealing with a trigger by just looking at me. I tell him what's bothering me and we discuss it but I can just see him go into that shame and guilt mode. I want to be able to discuss these situations with him but in a way that is healing for both of us, not shaming for him. We are trying to move forward together and I want to help and support him the best way I can while still being able to deal honestly and openly about my triggers and the pain I am experiencing. Do you have any suggestions?

Thank you
