I am the betrayed husband. My wife wishes to attend a school event where she will encounter her affair partner without me. It has been only 1 month since D-Day. The 2-day-event is in 3 weeks. I told her I feel unsafe and am not comfortable. I finish work and we can attend the second day, but that is not satisfactory. She says it is up to me but when I say no, she has repeatedly brought it up and told me that she may harbor long-term resentment if I do not agree. I told her just to go then, but I am deeply hurt and spiraling. I feel like she is desperate to go, and I do not know if it is for our 16 year old daughter or for him or both. Now we are not speaking to one another. All the incredibly positive healing since EMS Weekend seems to have been erased by her desperation to attend the event without me. What do I do or say?
