Question:

My unfaithful wife and I are about 8 months into recovery. There has been lots of trickle truth and many different disclosures. This is partly my fault because I told her not to give me certain details at first. Looking back I don't think I could have handled everything at once. We have a very difficult time being safe in communication. I feel like I am not being heard. She is just waiting on the next opportunity to interrupt me, tell why I'm wrong, and that everything is actually my fault in some way. I also feel like she takes us way off topic by rushing through my specific concerns and then spending a bunch of time on whatever she feels like focusing on. We both flood and we both have difficulty following the timeout protocols. What advice do you have for us in communication, including body language and tone of voice?
