Question:

My husband is asking me to write an extremely detailed story of my infidelity. I have already written the story I shared with the group, an outline of who, what, where, and when, including sexual acts and positions. I and answered all of his questions. I feel like more than that will be damaging to his healing, especially because he has OCD. He is already having intrusive thoughts and I fear that him knowing all the details will only make it worse. He has obsessed over the explicit details he has already learned. I asked my counselor today and she told me not to write it. She is going to email him to explain why and see if he will talk to her or another counselor. But he doesn't trust her because she is not an expert in betrayal trauma. Can someone at Affair Recovery please advise us about what would be best for his healing and our reconciliation?
