The affair took place 6 years ago and there was some contact between the affair partner and my husband because of work. The affair partner left the company for another job 8+ months ago and my husband has just recently started working for another company. There has been no contact between them for 8+ months. Our marriage is healing and my husbands actions are helping the me heal. Just randomly the affair partner contacted the my husband through LinkedIn and asked how he was doing. My husband opened the email, did not read all of the email, deleted it, and came and told me. My question is, why does the affair partner randomly and periodically try to the contact the unfaithful? What's the reason? What are they wanting? Help me to understand what their motive or purpose is.
