Question
For six years my husband has had a close female work friend whom he has denied is more than that, even to our then-pastor. He has refused to get more counsel. After separating from him for several months and giving him an ultimatum to choose her or me, I am back home. From what he said, I thought he'd chosen me and was treating me better. Then two weeks ago, over my objections, he took her on a one-day beach trip. I contacted a lawyer. My husband promised to contest any divorce plans. However, yesterday he actually agreed to read a chapter in the Five Love Languages book, and I am wondering if you can recommend any other reading for a man who might be more open to it now, something that might speak to him without coming across combative.
