My husband barely touched me for several years prior to his affair. He just wasn’t interested in me sexually. He says this is because sex became mandatory during infertility treatments, and I get that. Over 13 years I had a stillbirth and five miscarriages, no live births. We did adopt two children, but one of those adoptions failed after seven years. Four years after that my husband fell in love and began a sexual and emotional affair with a married with 2 children woman 17 years his junior. They were found out after a few months and forced by her husband to end the relationship. We’ve done tons of counseling and recovery work. My husband is now very interested in me sexually. He wants me to dress up, make up fantasies- stuff he did with his affair partner. How do I convince myself that his desire is really for me when he had little interest in sex prior to his affair?
