Do you have any suggestions for ending an affair with a fragile girl who tried to commit suicide once before? My husband has been a devoted father and husband for 36 years before this affair that started 2 and a half years ago. We lost his mother and best friend a month apart in 2014. He was traveling for business a lot in Southeast Asia. On a trip to Thailand in 2015 he met a couple our age with two grandsons. The youngest had cerebral palsy just like our youngest son. They didn't speak English and thought he was single so they asked him to meet their oldest daughter. She is four years older than our daughter. My husband thought he was just meeting the rest of the family. She was starving herself to send money home for her son who was the result of a teenage pregnancy. He started out just feeding her and helping with rent. She latched onto him like her life line and by the time he realized she was on anti-depressants and a mess he had already crossed the line. He never intended for this to happen and has kept up a texting and phone relationship plus sent her money numerous times; visiting her and the family on a few more trips to Thailand. He wants his life back with me but fears what she will do. He never thought he would have an affair and feels shame over what he has done to me the kids and the girl and her family.
