Question:

We have been married 27 years and have 2 boys, the youngest heading off to college this year. I’m 54 years old, and my husband is 58 years old. My husband has had an emotional affair, and 2 emotional/sexual affairs, the 2nd affair just last Christmas with a 19 year old from another country. When he returned, he was remorseful and said he wants to show our boys that a person can change for the better. Well that lasted for about a month and a half. He says with our youngest son leaving home for college this year, he can’t see a future with me. So, he is signed up on Match.com and also on another foreign dating website and has been chatting with these women (15-25 years his junior) telling them he is single. He moved out of the house (not his choice), and now is traveling in the foreign country where some of these women live. I vacillate between leaving and fighting for the marriage. I keep hoping to see the man “who wants to show our boys that a person can change”, but at the same time disgusted by what he is doing.
