My wife and I will be starting the EMSO class next week. I was unfaithful to my wife for 9 months last year while I worked out of town. She found out about the affair and gave me an ultimatum either come home or get a divorce. I came home ASAP! We started to try and fix things but I was not there emotionally for my wife. After several months we signed separation papers (in NC you must be separated for 1 yr.) Since that time my wife has started seeing someone even though we are still trying to work through things. We were encouraged by some friends to check out Affair Recovery. We both like it very much and wanted to do the EMS Weekend but could not afford it. My question is that in reading the introductory info you speak about the unfaithful spouse needing to end the affair, and that has been the case since September, but what about the faithful spouse and her new male friend? Will she be able to work through the material while continuing her relationship?
