My wife's affair was not the first time she's disregarded commitment in relationships during her adult life. Before she met me, she went on a two-week trip with a friend where she stood by as her friend cheated on her husband, never trying to talk her out of it; dated a man for a few weeks she knew was engaged, and was the affair partner in an on-and-off sexual relationship with her boss over a few years and was friendly with his wife. She tells me nothing like this happened while married to me (until her affair). My question is regarding Moral Justification. Did my wife need to justify her behavior in cheating on me, as it seems she didn't have the moral fabric to believe cheating was wrong?
