My mate has to deal with the disclosures of addictive behaviors, infidelity and a whole side of me I expertly hide with lies and deceptions. We grateful we have the tools we are learning with EMS and I am in SAA and therapy. Understandably this week questions are causing a lot of stress and anxiety for her and I feel I am failing to give her much comfort. I believe I have given her full disclosure and recognize the pain and damage it has caused. She struggles with having positive past memories which are being tainted as she tries to process my behavior. She has many questions, which I try to answer, but some I do not have the insight yet to answer. What is hurting us both at the moment is she does not believe that I ever was truthful and loved her because of the many overlaps of my past acting out. I want to assure her I did and do love her in spite of my acting out and my ability to compartmentalize my behavior. Any advice or insight would be helpful.Sections: Rick's Q & A timeRick's QuestionsRL_Category: Handling DiscoveryQ&A Recovery LibraryRebuilding TrustRecovery FundamentalsSexual AddictionRL_Media Type: Video
