Question:

4 months ago my husband left me. He's been out of the house and I've seen him twice. Little to no contact. Text or email for house/financial stuff. He travels all the time - an issue for a while. I have no idea where he is, what he's doing or who with. Infidelity has long been suspected - always denied. I have no proof and no DDay. He's had alcohol issues in the past and chooses work over family. He's kind of like Samuel. Our 28th wedding anniversary was last week. He says he loves me. That I'm better off without him. He says he doesn't have a time line. Neither one of us has filed yet. I'm still in it and he pays all the bills. As of today he hasn't gotten an apartment yet but he keeps saying that's coming and I assume it will. I'm doing HH, have been seeing my therapist for some time and have a minister for my spiritual side. He would never do therapy and I don't know if he's doing anything now. My question: I know it's early for me - clearly he's this has been on his mind for some time. Is it even reasonable for me to think he'll ever get it? I don't want to hope if it's really not realistic. I'll use this time for me. He's been out of the house and no communication - just makes me think he's done as well as our marriage.
