My unfaithful husband holds the position that his affair with an old girlfriend between 2011 into 2014 was not real and true love, despite their copious and perpetual communication during that time AND eventual escalation to a physical relationship. You don't destroy family just for infatuation, or limerance. One doesn't pine for for someone for decades just for infatuation. One doesn't cheat, lie, and steal just for infatuation. And one does not fly overseas and fornicate just for infatuation. Please help me understand what my reality is as we try to recover from this. Is he delusional or am I delusional?
