My husband worked very closely with her, and I know the temptation will be too great if they work together again, even in different departments. He is temporarily not working right now, but that will end soon. But leaving his job is very painful as it feels like a calling to him and changing would cause him to have start over in many ways. Plus his grief for the affair partner is intertwined with the job because they worked so closely, and he attributes much of his professional success to her support. It makes it hard for either of us to feel hope for our marriage.
