There are countless times where I make a statement to him of what he has done and he just freezes and says, I’m sorry, I don’t know what to say. I can think of many things he could say, but he has no words. When will he have words and when can I expect realistically for this to happen? It’s frustrating and seems like he isn’t able to put language to his actions or empathize. Like put himself in my position and think about what I would need to hear. I’ve told him, I need language in the form of a thorough apology in order to heal. He hasn’t yet given me an adequate apology and seems like he needs direction in this.
