Rick, I was kind of confused by what my wife told me. After reading Week 3’s Lesson in EMS Online, she took away that my needs were my responsibility and that she could not worry about them and I should take care of them on my own. I am a bit confused. Yes, ultimately I am responsible for the way I perceive and handle things; however, if the unfaithful spouse filled a void due to the inability of his/her partner (not justification by any means) then this would seem counterproductive. Please advise that I am wrong in this assumption or whether or not she read this the correct way? I appreciate the help and clarification. It seems if this pattern is instituted or continued that we would continue on a merry go round and have very little or no growth.
