Question: 

I am in Harboring Hope and found the chapter on Types of Affairs very insightful. My husband’s affair was a Category 2: The Lonely Hearts Club Affair. Our marriage did not survive, and we are now divorced. What makes recovery from this type of affair more complicated and lengthy? It seems that out of all the affairs, this affair is one where the wayward spouse actually has deep feelings for the other person. Is it not real love?
