Question
My husband got me roses for Valentine’s Day, and nothing for my birthday, yesterday, the 13th. I feel completely unappreciative of them, it only triggers me to compare to times in the past when he happily showered his affair partner in much more lavish gifts while I got nothing. He is also so ambivalent towards the marriage that this gesture feels more like he is ticking the boxes out of “obligation” rather than genuinely feeling compelled out of love to do this for me.
