We had a good marriage prior to my husbands affair but there was always something missing. My husband, I feel was afraid to be totally vulnerable with me. Since the affair and D-Day, this has brought our marriage to a place of complete openness, honesty and vulnerability with one another. We are in such a different place with one another, a deeper appreciation and better understanding, a more mature marriage. I honestly don’t know where we would be today if this affair didn’t force us to make the changes we made so far. Could this affair really be the best thing that could have happened to us or am I in some false cloud?
