Throughout the discovery process, he told lies to cover up and made up absurd stories. After much investigation, I learned THE FINAL TRUTH from the affair partner. Only then he confessed. Similarly, I was confronted by a previous affair partner who told me about a 2-year affair. Both women “told on him” - he never had the guts to admit anything. I am harboring resentment because of this and question his ability to be honest, even when it’s uncomfortable. I caught him lying 6 months following “the final truth” about going to a strip-club on his 50th Birthday. Same thing; only admitted after I had proof. How can I ever believe him again without the need to verify?
