Question
My husband feels the distance between us will continue to grow if we are not proactive. While I totally agree, I think some distance can be beneficial seeing that I’ve never given myself the emotional or physical space to heal from both of our infidelities. We’ve completed Married for Life and I’m now in Harboring Hope and a 12 step group for codependency. I feel a bit awkward sometimes hugging and kissing my husband because I’m not feeling an emotionally safe connection with him although I would like one. How do I explain that some space could be a good thing? He feels our distance will continue to grow and eventually the connection will fade.
