Question:

What do you suggest to a betrayed spouse whose husband isn’t willing to see a counselor or therapist because “he doesn’t want to”? He says it’s because he’s always just done what people have taught or told him and that it won’t help. We’ve been married 21 years, with 6 children. It has been 6 months this week since the 1st D-day, followed by multiple disclosures and even reconnections with the affair partner since until just over a month ago. We are in week 8 of EMS Online. I’m all in & doing the homework, reading, praying, seeing an individual counselor and seeking to honor God by loving and forgiving and processing working through healing and reconciliation. His “I’m not feeling it yet” and not wanting to get help or see a counselor or therapist concerns me.
