My husband has a real problem with the idea of not being able to be near females and having them as friends since he has had emotional affairs and lusting issues along with other addictive behaviors for 27 years. He says he’s had sobriety for 10 years with prostitutes and 19 months with porn that included masturbation. until failure (with masturbation) post his Dad’s death in 2017. It seems to me that he is in denial despite going to 2 sex addict groups, praying and reading books. He continues to shut down and admits not knowing what reassurance is and leaves me feeling unsafe. I feel like giving up.
