My husband and I are on week 11 of EMSO. We have strong leaders who continually support us and like Rick, have recommended my husband attend EMDR. As the hurt spouse, he continues to struggle with intrusive thoughts and anger; the vivid images of D-Day and his imagination are hard for him to manage along with everyday triggers. He is putting a lot of faith into EMDR to help him, especially with the feelings that our marriage and I are now tainted forever. As a romanticist, he struggles with the lack of purity of "us" and the notion that our relationship, and me, are now "tainted".
