Something about Mr. Tchividjian in this interview gave me pause as I felt a check in my spirit. He seems to have no remorse for how he hurt his covenant wife. He seems more wrapped up in how his life was nearly destroyed by his sin. He says the right things but they seem to fall flat. My suggestion is to listen to this interview prayerfully. The message may be important but the messenger seems less than authentic. (PS I really appreciate Simon’s authenticity and heart. His love for his wife and kids, his sorrow for his sin, and his care for the spiritual restoration of both the betrayer and betrayed are obvious. Thank you for your transparency and ministry.)

I completely agree with adminaweb. Something is just not sincere about this pastor. He seems arrogant and self centered. I would not attend his church. If he was so heartbroken about the effect of divorce on his children, why did he not attempt to restore his marriage. ESPECIALLY as a pastor. I can completely understand that his recovery was difficult being in the limelight and a clergyman. I'm sure he dealt with extreme shame and guilt. And yes, only God in his infinite mercy can pull a person up if you allow Him to do so and you are humble enough to accept and own your sin and repent and face the consequences. There are consequences to all sin. He shows empathy towards broken parishioners but what about his first wife? I am glad that I am not the only one to have doubts hearing his message. I would have to hear both sides of the couple's story. Something just doesn't jive.
