My husband was told that his affair was possibly an "exit affair" and that whether it is limerence or love is irrelevant to whether he should stay in the marriage. What does that mean? Does an exit affair mean that it is my fault or the fault of the marriage? And, if we were advised to separate for a time, what should a separation look like in that case?
