Question:

We are 1 year out from my husband leaving a 6 month affair while he was studying overseas and 10 months since final contact. We finished EMS in February. We tried 2 different marriage therapists which ended due to his anger. He seems to have finally found an individual therapist that he can work with. We have been separated since D-Day and while he says he wants reconciliation, he seems to hold back emotionally. We only talk on a heart level when I initiate. He mostly just listens now without responding. I am wanting to start marriage therapy again, but he says that he needs more time to work with his therapist. I have told him that there is an expiration date on how long I will wait for him to re-engage and when I ask him what the blockage is, he says that it is not the AP, there are other issues. I don’t press him to tell me, but I am feeling left in the dark. Should I just keep waiting for him to get to a healthier place or is there something else I should consider?
