My wife has given her version of why she had the affair. Her reasons are: it was fun - I got attention & external validation - it made me feel powerful sending pictures of myself and getting a positive response back - he me feel important - he listened to me - etc. All this does nothing for me feeling safe, it just shows all her character flaws and that she has a lot of work ahead of her.
