Question
I'm working through forgiving myself for quite a bit around my husband's affair. I should have acted on my suspicions sooner, set stronger boundaries, etc. But part of that, I've realized, includes forgiving myself for marrying my spouse. If I would've known that he would choose to betray me in the way that he did, I would have chosen someone else. That being said, I've elected to stay and work on building a new marriage. Am I a hypocrite? How do I forgive myself for marrying someone while choosing to essentially re-marry him?
